Web-Design is a hobby of mine since a long time. I redesigned the website of the institute for German Philology of the University of Basel around 1999; and I also designed and implemented the website of the Literaturhaus Basel when it first opened (together with Noah Bubenhofer).
Nowadays, I maintain three websites:
Elternplattform Arlesheim
This is a political society – almost something like a political party, if you will, in the community in Switzerland where I live. I redesigned the webdesign based on a WordPress theme and tweaked it according to my needs; technically, there’s nothing fancy about this page, but it was the first time I used WordPress as a CMS and it has proven very useful and straightforward for the tasks.
BlueMonday Coaching
This is the site of my partner’s business; she is a psychologist and coaches people who have burn-outs (or are about to have), and she is also a well-recognized speaker about the topic of burn-outs. I initially designed the website based on some simple WordPress know-how, but with the evolvement of the business (and with my partner’s new ideas…) I redesigned the website in spring / summer 2009 and rather than just being a blog, it’s a full-blown business site with a blog included (rather than vice versa).
Hobbes.ch
Well – nothing much to say about this, as this is the site you are looking at. I have owned the domain for a very long time – and the site has undergone major changes and redesigns. Since 2006, I run it on WordPress, and I never doubted that decision. This is the fourth theme I created for it – with three of them actually released and being active.
