Using kooka or similar
After I had installed the scanner on the server, the windows client could detect it (using xsane for Windows), but I had problems with kooka on KDE. It turned out that I had to enter the IP (or FQDN) of the server into /etc/sane.d/net.conf on the client – everything works now! Share and Enjoy:
