I already blogged about installing KDE4, alpha 2. I also added a comment there, as compilation would always break with an error. Well – I should have a look at the error messages more closely – turned out that the disk of the virtual machine is full again… 
So: FIRST deinstalled everything not necessary. THEN issued “make clean” everywhere to get rid of old stuff. And THEN FINALLY compile everything anew; I am now doing kdesupport at the moment – let’s see how it goes….
